    Interim Management Statement - Quarter ended 31 May 2008



                Net Asset Value

    The Net Asset Value at 31 May 2008 was 50.0p compared to 50.1p at 29 February 2008. The marginal decrease in NAV was due to a loss on
the revenue account 

    The NAV at 31 May 2008 reflects the valuation of unlisted investments at 29 February 2008 (as reported in the annual report for the year
ended 29 February 2008) and the closing bid price of quoted securities at 31 May 2008; the Board reviews valuations of unlisted holdings on
a six monthly basis. 

                Investments Completed During the Quarter

    No new investments were made during the quarter under review.

               Disposals during the quarter

    During the quarter a final repayment of loan stock totalling �448,000 was received from Mawdsley's GNS. No sales that had a material
effect on the financial position of the Company were made during the quarter.

                Update
    

    Since the quarter ended, an investment of �99,000 was made in Nessco, a telecommunications service provider. 

    The Board is not aware of any other events or transactions that have taken place between 31 May 2008 and the date of publication of this
statement which would have had a material impact on the financial position of the Company.
