                              Exercise of Options
                                       
A former employee of Freepages has today exercised an option over 200,000
shares in Freepages at an exercise price of 32p per share.

Each new Ordinary Share will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares
of Freepages.

Application will be made for 200,000 Ordinary Shares in Freepages to be
admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock
Exchange and dealings are expected to commence on 6 August 1998.

Copies of this announcement will be made available for the next 14 days at the
Registered Office of Freepages Group plc at Information House, Parkway Court,
