                              BOARD APPOINTMENT

Freeserve plc, is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Keeling as  an
executive  director and Chief Operating Officer of Freeserve, with  immediate
effect.   Frank joins Freeserve from AOL Europe, where he was a director  and
senior   vice  president  responsible  for  portal  development   and   major
partnership  strategies across Europe.  His role at Freeserve will  encompass
the  cautionary  development  of  consumer and  business-to-business  content
across the Freeserve portals.

Commenting  on  the  appointment,  John Pluthero,  Chief  Executive  Officer,
Freeserve plc, said
