Dori Media Group (“DMG” or “the Company”), the international
media company active in the field of television, with a focus on
production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of
Telenovela, will present new materials for the 2nd season of
'Split’, its teen vampire daily drama, exclusively for MIPTV. After
solving the age-old conflict between vampires and humans in the 1st
season, 16-year-old Ella refuses to live in absolute isolation,
merely because she is the new prophet. As she sets out to find a
resolution, she is exposed to the unfamiliar world of Demons, a
world that will soon force her to choose between Adam, a young
demon who is the new love in her life, and Leo, the vampire who
still loves her.
The 2nd season of 'Split' is currently being filmed and is
scheduled to be launched in May 2010. The show was created by Shira
Alon and Ilan Rosenfeld, directed by Shay Kapon and it is produced
by Dori Media Darset for Hot.
Along with 'Split' Dori Media Group will also showcase ‘Ciega a
Citas’ (Date Blind), which has already been sold to 8 countries
within only 5 months of its launch in Argentina - where it has
become the highest rating series in TV Publica in the last 5 years.
The show has already reached its 100th episode and has gained a
cult following on-line. 'Ciega a Citas' is a co-production of Dori
Media Contenidos and Rosstoc.
Dori Media will also introduce European buyers to its new action
series - 'Ladronas', which tells the story of widowed Emma Blinder,
who is shocked to discover that her deceased husband, a prominent
judge, was in fact a corrupt official. Determined to right his
wrongs, she recruits 3 attractive, professional women-thieves to
help her. In each episode, the women embark on risky yet
comical tasks, using all of their abilities to ensure justice is
done.
Along with these new productions, Dori Media Group will be
bringing other shows from its rich and varied catalogue. Other
shows appearing at the festival include the interactive cross
platform reality format ’uMan’, which has already been sold to 9
countries in 9 months; ‘Money Time’, a soccer daily drama launched
in-time for the upcoming World Cup and ‘Pilots' Wives’, a new daily
drama set in an Air Force base, revolving around the lives of
fighter pilots and their families.
Nadav Palti, President & CEO of Dori Media Group, said, "We
are very pleased to be presenting our clients once again with new
and innovative productions at MipTV. We are also looking forward to
be showing exclusive new materials from the 2nd season of 'Split',
following an extremely successful first season which was well
received by critics and viewers alike from all over the world.
Alongside our current library, which includes global hits such as
‘Rebelde Way’ and ‘LaLola’, our new titles ‘Ladronas’ and ‘Pilots'
Wives’, which are being introduced for the first time in Europe,
cover new genres to further diversify our library, ensuring we
provide buyers from all over the world with a wide variety of
innovative programming to meet their broad programming needs."
