Posting of Circular with Notice of General Meeting

London, (UK), Carpinteria, CA (USA) - 22 October 2010. Further to the announcement published by Clipper Windpower Plc (the "Company") on 18 October 2010 that, inter alia, Clipper Windpower, Inc. ("CWI"), the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, had entered into a facility agreement and related security documents with United Technologies Corporation ("UTC") for the provision by UTC to CWI of a US$50 million facility, the grant of security under such security documents is conditional on the approval of the security documents by the Company's shareholders. A general meeting of the Company has therefore been convened to be held at 10.00 a.m. GMT on Monday, 8 November 2010 at the offices of Lawrence Graham LLP, 4 More London Riverside, London SE1 2AU, United Kingdom (the "General Meeting") to approve the terms of such security documents.

The circular to shareholders containing the notice of the General Meeting (the "Circular") is being sent out to shareholders of the Company today. A copy of the Circular will also be available shortly on the Company's website at http://www.clipperwind.com.
