Champion plc (the "Company") announces that on 3 January 2008 it received
notification that, on 27 December 2007, Ian William Currie and Richard Ian
Hughes each disposed of 372,825 ordinary shares of each in the capital of the
Company ("Ordinary Shares").



Following these transactions, Ian William Currie and Richard Ian Hughes, who are
connected parties, are now interested in 3,119,994 Ordinary Shares, representing
approximately 9.99% of the total voting rights of the Company.
