Chemetall Plc (the 'Company')
Delisting from London Stock Exchange
Chemetall Plc (the 'Company') has decided to apply to have its Cumulative
Redeemable Preference Shares of �1 each (the 'Shares') delisted from the
Official List of the Financial Services Authority (the 'Official List') and to
have the admission to trading of its Shares on the London Stock Exchange plc
cancelled.
Reasons for Delisting
In accordance with the Company's Articles of Association, the Company redeemed
all outstanding Shares on 3 July 2008 (the `Redemption') for an amount equal to
the nominal amount paid up or credited as paid up thereon together with any
accrued but unpaid Preferential Dividend. As a result of the Redemption the
Company has decided to request a delisting of its Shares from the Official List
and the cancellation of the admission to trading of its Shares on the London
Stock Exchange plc.
Accordingly, the Company is applying to the Financial Services Authority and
the London Stock Exchange plc, for the cancellations, respectively, of:
(i) the listing of Shares on the Official List maintained by the Financial
Services Authority;
and
(ii) the trading of Shares on the London Stock Exchange.
It is anticipated that cancellation of listing and admission to trading will
take effect from 6 August 2008.
