Bristol Water Holdings plc announces that it was yesterday informed that
LeggMason Investors International Utilities Trust plc purchased 105,000 ordinary
shares in the Company on 10th April 2002.  As a result LeggMason Investors
International Utilities Trust plc is now interested in 253,000 ordinary shares
in the Company, representing approximately 3.49 per cent. of the issued share
capital
