                     Benfield Sells Orbit Benefits Limited



Benfield Group Limited ("Benfield" or the "Group"), the world's leading
independent reinsurance and risk intermediary, today announced the sale, subject
to the approval of the Financial Services Authority, of Orbit Benefits Limited,
Orbit Interactive Limited, Orbit Protection Limited and TIMA Tools Limited ("
Orbit") to SBJ Group Limited.



The proceeds of the sale will be approximately #4.5m.  Orbit implements and runs
online employee benefits, including total reward statements and flexible
benefits, for UK companies using its own internet-based technology.
