trading on Irish Stock Exchange's IEX market

4 September 2006: Shares in Ardent Group plc, a specialist provider of equity
release products for senior citizens in Ireland, began trading today on IEX, the
Irish Stock Exchange's specialist market for small to mid-sized companies.



Ardent Group plc is the 7th new company to be quoted on the IEX market this year
and brings to 20 the total number of companies on the market.



Speaking on the commencement of trading, the Irish Stock Exchange's Director of
Listing, Deirdre Somers, said: "The listing of Ardent Group plc on IEX further
highlights the advantages that IEX can offer to companies already listed on AIM
by increasing their profile and visibility in Ireland, and by providing access
to capital and enhanced liquidity through a euro denominated quote and trading
facility. Ardent is the 12th new company to join IEX since its launch in April
2005, bringing the total number of companies listed on IEX to 20".
