WESSEX WATER SERVICES FINANCE PLC ANNOUNCES ISSUANCE OF GBP250,000,000 1.500 PER CENT. GUARANTEED BONDS DUE 17 SEPTEMBER 2029

Wessex Water Services Finance Plc (the "Issuer") today announces that it has agreed to issue GBP250,000,000 1.500 per cent. Guaranteed Bonds (the "Bonds"). The Bonds are expected to be issued on or around 17 September 2019 (the "Issue Date").

The Bonds will be unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by Wessex Water Services Limited (the "Guarantor"). GBP50,000,000 in principal amount of the Bonds will be immediately purchased by or on behalf of the Issuer on the Issue Date (the "Retained Bonds"). The Bonds will bear interest at a rate of 1.500 per cent. per annum and will mature on 17 September 2029.

The net proceeds of the issue of the Bonds (other than the Retained Bonds) will be lent by the Issuer to the Guarantor, and will be used by the Guarantor for refinancing existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.

Following their purchase by the Issuer, any net proceeds of any sale of the Retained Bonds to a third party will be lent by the Issuer to the Guarantor, and will be used by the Guarantor for refinancing existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.
