                                Licence renewal 
 
AfNat (AIM: AFNR) is pleased to report that it has secured renewal of its Mitaba 
prospecting licence to the Mitaba nickel project located in the Chongwe 
district, 105km southeast of Lusaka, Zambia. 
 
As a short background, the Mitaba prospecting licence with a licence area of 76 
km² was granted to MR Nickel, a Zambian registered indirectly and wholly owned 
subsidiary of the Company on 12 April 2006. Prior to the expiry date of 11 April 
2008 a renewal application was made which was still pending at the time of 
re-admission. 
 
At the time of the renewal, the original licence area was reduced by 50% by the 
Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development Department of Zambia in line with the 
Mines and Minerals Development Act, 2008. The current licence area still 
contains the main prospective unit.
