The Board of Deutschland Investment Corporation Inc has been aware for some time
that a number of shareholders wish to realise their investment.  In addition
recent developments have lead the Board to conclude that Deutschland Investment
Corporation Inc is no longer the best investment vehicle for German private
equity investment.

As a result, the Board has decided to cease making further investments.

A further announcement as to the Board's recommended course of action will be
made as soon as possible.
