9 7/8% First Mortgage Debenture Stock 1997/2002

Notice has today been given to the Holders of the above Stock that in accordance
with Condition 4 attaching to the Stock as contained in the Second Schedule to
the Trust Deed dated 7 July 1972 (as amended by the various deeds supplemental
thereto), the Company intends to redeem all of the outstanding Stock in issue.
The register of Stockholders will finally close at 5.00pm on 10 October 1997 and
no transfer relating to the Stock will be registered after that time.  The Stock
will be redeemed at par on 31 October 1997 together with accrued interest to
that date.
