Riversdale CFO Lenahan Steps Down For Rio Tinto Appointments

Africa-focused coal producer Riversdale Mining Ltd. (RIV.AU)
said Thursday Niall Lenahan has stepped down as chief financial
officer and company secretary to make way for appointments by new
parent Rio Tinto PLC (RIO).
The Sydney-based mining company said Michael Jolley, who has
been employed by Rio Tinto since 1984 and has held a variety of
commercial and financial roles, has been named chief financial
officer. Audrey Ferguson, who has worked for Rio Tinto for more
than 10 years, has been appointed secretary, it said.
London-based Rio Tinto's takeover offer for Riversdale is due to
close late Friday. As of May 6, Rio Tinto had secured a more than
73% of Riversdale for its cash offer of A$16.50 a share.
