NEW YORK, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) today announced that it launched trading in three new ETFs by Northern Trust Global Investments: NETS(TM) S&P/MIB Index Fund (AMEX:ITL), NETS FTSE/JSE Top 40 Index Fund (AMEX:JNB), and NETS FTSE Singapore Straits Times Index Fund (AMEX:SGT). ITL aims to track the price and yield performance of publicly-traded securities in the aggregate in the Italian equity markets, as represented by the S&P/MIB Index. The Index is a free float adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index consisting of stocks traded primarily on the Borsa Italiana. JNB aims to track the price and yield performance of publicly-traded securities in the aggregate in the South African market, as represented by the FTSE/JSE Top 40 Index. The Index is a free float adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index consisting of stocks of the 40 largest companies traded primarily on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. SGT aims to track the price and yield performance of publicly-traded securities in the aggregate in the Singapore markets, as represented by the FTSE Singapore Straits Times Index. The Index is a free float adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index consisting of 50 of the most liquid stocks, based on average daily trading volume, traded primarily on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
