Alphabet Inc.'s Google and French telecommunications company Orange will launch a strategic partnership to cooperate in fields including data, artificial intelligence and cloud services.

The agreement will help speed up the transformation of Orange's IT systems and the creation of new cloud and cybersecurity services, it said Tuesday.

The parties will also create an innovation lab and a center to offer training in data, AI and cloud services for Orange employees.
