--Huawei Technologies Co. respects Telecom Italia SpA's decision to exclude it from the tender for the supply of equipment for Italy and Brazil's core 5G networks, President of Huawei Italy Luigi De Vecchis told Italian daily Corriere Della Sera.

--Mr. De Vecchis said Telecom Italia's decision is of a commercial nature, unlike the U.K. government's ban which is mostly geopolitical, he said in an interview with the newspaper.
