UK Regulator Lifts Suspension on Wirecard UK Arm
By Adria Calatayud
The U.K.'s Financial Conduct Authority said late Monday that
Wirecard AG's U.K. operations can resume their regulated activity,
after the regulator lifted a suspension on the company's activities
it imposed last week.
Wirecard's U.K. arm is allowed to restart electronic money and
payment services to its customers, who can use their cards as
usual, the FCA said.
The restrictions introduced Sunday were lifted at 2301 GMT on
Monday, the FCA said.
The regulator said it continues to monitor Wirecard's activities
and that certain requirements on the company, such as restrictions
over where Wirecard can hold customer monies and over its ability
to transfer its own assets, remain in place.
