Deutsche Post AG (DPW.XE) said Friday that StreetScooter GmbH's Chief Executive Joerg Sommer will step down, effective immediately.

The German company said Mr. Sommer will be succeeded by Markus Doerr, who currently serves as chief operating officer and management spokesperson.

The decision was prompted by strategic differences with regards to StreetScooter's future, according to Deutsche Post.
