Wirecard AG (WDI.XE) on Thursday criticized the latest article by the Financial Times raising questions over the company's practices in relation to a 2015 acquisition in India.

"Today's article by the Financial Times only reiterates old allegations, which were the subject of multiple independent audits before and have proven to be unsubstantiated," the German payments company said.

The Financial Times has published a series of articles questioning Wirecard's accounting methods and other practices, which the company repeatedly defended.
