Rheinmetall AG (RHM.XE) said Tuesday that it has formed a joint
venture with defense major Raytheon Co. (RTN) to enter a bid to
supply the U.S. army with combat vehicles.
The collaboration will offer the Lynx Infantry Fighting to the
U.S. Army's Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle competition, the
German company said.
The two companies worked together to offer the Lynx for the OMFV
program in 2018.
The winner of the OMFV program is scheduled to enter the field
in 2026 and is expected to replace the Bradley Fighting Vehicle,
Rheinmetall said.
