Deutsche Bank AG (DBK.XE) said Friday that it has nominated Dagmar Valcarcel to join its supervisory board.

The German lender said Ms. Valcarcel will succeed Stefan Simon, who has been appointed senior group director effective Aug. 1, and is set to join the company's management board.

Ms. Valcarcel will also chair the integrity committee of the bank, a position previously held by Mr. Simon, the bank said.

Mr. Simon was appointed to the company's executive board on July 7, the same day the bank announced plans to cut 18,000 jobs by 2022.

Ms. Valcarcel has held various positions in the financial industry for the past 24 years, including at Barclays PLC (BARC.LN). Until June 2019, she was the nonexecutive chair of the management board of Andbank Asset Management Luxembourg.
