--Shareholders in Gas Natural have asked Chief Executive Francisco Reynes to consider selling the company's LNG business, which could be worth up to 5 billion euros ($5.8 billion), El Confidencial reports, citing anonymous sources.

--CVC Capital Partners, Corporacion Financiera Alba and Global Infrastructure Partners, which together own roughly 40% of Gas Natural, made the request ahead of the launch of Gas Natural's new strategy on Thursday, El Confidencial says.
