United Parcel Service Inc. has ordered 19 new wide-body freighter aircraft from Boeing Co., with a plan to take delivery of the 767s between 2023 and 2025, Boeing said Tuesday.

UPS has been operating the freight version of the 767 since 1995, and has ordered a total of 91 of the aircraft, Boeing said.

The Chicago-based plane maker said that 2021 has been a record-breaking year for sales of its cargo aircraft. Production challenges, on the other hand, have hit Boeing's manufacturing of passenger jets. Hawaiian Airlines and American Airlines Group Inc. have both cited delays in expected deliveries of Boeing's 787s.
