Eni SpA said Monday that it has reached an agreement with FRI-EL
Greenpower to buy Italian biogas producer FRI-EL Biogas
Holding.
The Italian oil-and-gas major said the deal was reached via its
subsidiary Ecofuel, which manages the group's investments in the
circular economy, and is part of its decarbonization strategy.
The acquisition is subject to antitrust approval and other
conditions.
No financial details were disclosed.
