SAO PAULO, April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Triunfo Participacoes e Investimentos S.A. (TPIS3) (BM&FBOVESPA: TPIS3, OTC: TPIUY), a leading Brazilian infrastructure company, hereby announces its preliminary operational data for the first quarter of 2014 (3M14).

HIGHLIGHTS – 3M14

• Regarding traffic, in three months of 2014, our highway concessions registered a 5.6% increase in traffic volume in relation to 2013, reaching 23.2 million equivalent vehicles. Individually, our concessionaries Concer, Concepa and Econorte, recorded year-on-year growth of 5.1%, 7.9% and 0.5%, respectively, in the volume of equivalent vehicles.
• Total container handled volume in three months of 2014 was 163,158 TEUs, an increase of 7.3% over 2013.
• The physical guarantee sold by Rio Verde to Votener totaled 145,516 MWh  accumulated in 2014 and 50,443 MWh in March. The Physical guarantee sold by Rio Canoas totaled 179,578 MWh accumulated in 2014 and 61,826 MWh in March. Regarding additional sales, in March, TNE (Triunfo Negocios de Energia) sold in advance part of the annual Physical Guarantee of the power plants that totaled 88.440 MWh and accumulated in 2014 totaled 255,155 MWh.
• As for the Viracopos Airport, 32,500 aircraft, carrying 2.4 million passengers and 52,500 tons of cargo, passed through the airport in three months of 2014.
