Traton SE boss Christian Levin will stay on for an additional
five years, the truck maker said Monday, as part of a board
reinforcement that will also see a new executive position to lead
global product management.
Mr. Levin's appointment is now extended to January 2029, Traton
said. He has been CEO of the German firm, which is majority owned
by Volkswagen AG, since October 2021, and serves the same role at
Traton's Swedish subsidiary Scania.
Traton said it has also created a new role of global product
management chief, with Catharina Modahl Nilsson to serve in the
position on the executive board from April 1.
Ms. Modahl Nilsson is currently head of group management, Traton
said.
The new role will help coordinate the group's four brands and
their functions, the company said.
Traton said it has also extended the contract of Antonio Roberto
Cortes on the executive board for three years to January 2027. Mr.
Cortes serves as CEO of Brazil's Volkswagen Truck & Bus,
another subsidiary of the German automotive giant.
