lead Energtek USA's legal team as General
Counsel
- Mr. Friedman represented Teva Pharmaceutical Industries
(NYSE: TEVA) for nearly 20 years
Energtek Inc. (EGTK), a leader in hi-tech natural gas solutions
and Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) technology, announced today that its
legal team has been seriously strengthened by the agreement of Mr.
Andre H. Friedman, Esq. to join
Energtek USA as General Counsel
and Corporate Secretary.

Mr. Andre H. Friedman has had a
long, illustrious international career as an effective legal
advisor for American and European clients. From 1992 to 2010, Mr.
Friedman represented Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE:
TEVA), the world's largest generic pharmaceutical company, first as
outside counsel and subsequently as Regional General Counsel. He
established and led the Teva Legal Center responsible for
Eastern/Central Europe and
subsequently served as Special Senior Counsel involving legal
aspects of Teva's entire European operations.
Prior to that, from 1986 Mr. Friedman represented American and
foreign clients in large-scale industrial and real estate ventures,
international investment and loan transactions and international
commercial arbitration in the USA
and Europe.
In 1965, Mr. Friedman founded and served as CEO of Bard Overseas
Corporation. This organization, later known as the Bard Group, was
an international trading organization headquartered in the U.S.,
with branches and representatives in 14 countries in the Far East,
the Middle East and Europe. In 1983, Mr. Friedman sold his shares
in the Group to return to full-time legal practice.
Mr. Friedman's education includes: Hebrew
University, Jerusalem (LLM, 1957), University of
Paris, Faculty of Law,
Postgraduate Studies in International Commercial Law (1957-1958),
City University of New York Bernard
Baruch School of Business, Postgraduate studies in International
Trade (1958-1959), University of Nice, Diplome de Francais
Juridique, Economique et Commercial (1985), Master class for
Arbitrators, International Chamber of Commerce (2009).
In terms of organizations, Mr. Friedman served as General
Counsel to the National Association of Export Companies (1985 -
1989), on the Committee on International Sales and Related
Commercial Transactions of the International Section of the
New York State Bar Association
(Chairman 1987 - 1988, Co-Chair 1989 - 1990), Co-Chair of
International Contact and Commercial Law Committee, and member of
the Board of Directors of the Institute of International Commercial
Law. He was also a member of the Association of the Bar of the
City of New York, International
Bar Association Section of Business Law, American Arbitration
Association Panel of Arbitrators, and the American Foreign Law
Association.
