THEMAC Resources Group Limited ("THEMAC" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE: MAC) is pleased to announce that, on June 21, 2011, the Company began a follow-up drilling program on its Copper Flat project 50 km southwest of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

The program anticipates drilling approximately 18,000 meters of combined core and RC spread among nearly 47 holes. The initial phase will consist of infill drilling and is intended to upgrade to NI-43-101 standards previously drilled ore categories to either "indicated" or "measured".

Additional step out drilling will also be carried out and is intended to more precisely delineate the full extent of the ore body.

--  Several drill holes will test significant anomalies recently outlined by
    a major geophysical program carried out earlier this year. Final
    interpretations of this program are anticipated to be released.
--  As part of the overall program, samples will be taken for further
    metallurgical testing as well as geotechnical data to determine ultimate
    mine slope stability.
--  The Company will shortly award a prefeasibility study contract which
    will be carried out by an independent engineering firm with close in-
    house supervision. A final document is anticipated towards the end of
    2011.

About the Copper Flat Project

Copper Flat is a former producing mine located approximately 50 kilometers southwest of Truth or Consequences in Sierra County. Permitting for a return of the project to production is at an advanced stage, and the prefeasibility study is targeted for completion during 2011.

The Copper Flat project is a porphyry copper-molybdenum-gold-silver deposit. The deposit has NI43-101 Indicated Mineral Resources of 107 million short tons grading 0.303% copper and 0.01% molybdenum for 645 million lbs copper and 21.4 million lbs molybdenum, plus Inferred Mineral Resources of 46 million short tons grading 0.24% copper and 0.006% molybdenum for 222 million lbs copper and 5.6 million lbs. of molybdenum.
