Coca-Cola Co. and Brown-Forman Corp., the maker of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, are working together to debut a canned version of a Jack and Coke.

The companies said Monday that they will pre-mix the iconic cocktail, which combines each of their flagship products, and sell it as a branded, ready-to-drink beverage that is set to first launch in Mexico later this year.

Brown-Forman has been selling Jack Daniel's-based ready-to-drink beverages for decades, and said teaming with Coca-Cola on this latest offering would help the alcoholic beverage company "accelerate expansion and continue to grow our business around the world."

The companies plan to offer a sugar-free version of the beverage, and noted that the alcohol beverage volume of the drink, while usually set at a global benchmark of 5%, will vary depending on the market.
