Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March 15, 2022, Advance Auto Parts, Inc. (the “Company”) filed a Form 8-K (the “Form 8-K”) disclosing that effective March 15, 2022, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of the Company appointed Joan M. Hilson to the Board. At the time of the filing of the Form 8-K, the Board had not yet determined on which committee(s) Ms. Hilson would serve. On May 18, 2022, the Board appointed Ms. Hilson to the Board's Audit Committee, effective May 18, 2022.
