The graphics chip maker's market capitalization shot past $1 trillion after shares opened the market Tuesday at an all-time high of $415.50. The seventh U.S. company to achieve a 13-figure market cap, Nvidia had reported record sales amid the recent artificial-intelligence frenzy surrounding OpenAI's ChatGPT technology, leading shares to surge and triple since the beginning of the year.
