--Adobe Inc.'s deal to buy collaboration-software company Figma
for around $20 billion was spearheaded by David Wadhwani, president
of Adobe's digital-media business, and not Chief Executive Shantanu
Narayen, CNBC reported, citing people familiar with the
transaction.
--Mr. Wadhwani is in the driver's seat to become the next CEO,
bolstered by the Figma deal, the report said.
--Mr. Wadhwani and Anil Chakravarthy, the head of Adobe's
marketing software business, are both strong contenders but Mr.
Narayen isn't leaving anytime soon, CNBC reported, citing sources
close to the company.
--Adobe didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from
Dow Jones Newswires.
