Federal Signal Appoints Daniel J. Hickey Director of Government Relations

OAK BROOK, Ill., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Federal Signal
Corporation (NYSE:FSS), a leader in advancing security and
well-being for communities and workplaces around the world, today
announced that Daniel J. Hickey has been appointed Director of
Government Relations, effective immediately. Mr. Hickey will be
responsible for strengthening Federal Signal's government and
regulatory relations efforts. Based in Washington, D.C., Mr. Hickey
will continue to build relationships with Members of Congress and
their staffs, as well as the federal agencies most important to
Federal Signal's businesses. Mr. Hickey will report to Jennifer
Sherman, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, General Counsel
and Secretary of Federal Signal. "On behalf of the Board and

Advisor for King & Spalding LLC. From 2004-2007, Mr. Hickey
served as the Federal Aviation Administration's Deputy Assistant
Administrator for Government & Industry Affairs, and then as
Deputy Assistant Secretary for Governmental Affairs at the
Department of Transportation. He was Director of Government Affairs
for US Airways from 2003-2004 and Director of Federal Affairs for
the Air Transport Association of America from 2001-2003. He also
served as a Legislative Assistant in the United States Senate. Mr.
Hickey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Boston
