At 5.00 am ET Friday, flash consumer prices, retail sales, and economic sentiment survey results from euro area have been published. The euro changed little against its major rivals after the data.

The euro was trading at 131.09 against the yen, 1.0425 against the franc, 1.1317 against the greenback and 0.8348 against the pound around 5:01 am ET.
