--The French government fully supports the structural reorganization of the Renault-Nissan alliance, French newspaper Les Echos reports, citing an unnamed source.

--France's President Emmanuel Macron told Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during a meeting in Paris on Monday evening that his government won't oppose the rebalancing of stakes the car makers hold in each other, which has been the object of talks for months, according to Les Echos.

--Renault shares at 1444 GMT were up 2.8% at EUR36.60.
