ADRs End Mostly Lower; ArcelorMittal, Benitec Biopharma Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed mostly lower on
Friday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
edged down 0.4% to 131.52. The European index ticked down 0.1% to
121.94. The Asian index lost 1.1% to 160.89. The Latin American
index gained 1.4% to 184.22, while the emerging-markets index sank
0.7% to 277.93.
ArcelorMittal SA was among those whose ADRs traded actively.
The steelmaker rose 1.1% after the company said it plans to
close two of its plants in Germany amid soaring electricity
costs.
Development-stage biotechnology company Benitec Biopharma Inc.
declined 3.6% after it issued operational updates and posted a
wider loss in full year 2022.
