Final consumer prices and foreign trade from euro area are due on Friday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association is set to issue new car registrations data for June.

At 3.00 a, ET, consumer prices from Austria and unemployment from Turkey are due. Turkey's jobless rate is seen falling to 9.9 percent in April from 10.1 percent in March.

At 4.00 am ET, Italy's Istat publishes external trade figures for May. The trade surplus totaled EUR 4.52 billion in April.

In the meantime, Statistics Norway is scheduled to issue trade data for June. The trade surplus totaled NOK 6.6 billion in May.

Half an hour later, the Office for National Statistics is set to publish U.K. construction output. Economists forecast output to fall 1.2 percent on a monthly basis in May after increasing 2.5 percent in April.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurostat is slated to release consumer prices and foreign trade data. Consumer prices are expected to rise 0.9 percent annually as initially estimated in June.

The euro area foreign trade surplus is seen at EUR 25 billion in May compared to EUR 28 billion in April.

Bank of England Governor Mark Carney is set to speak in Toronto at 8.00 am ET.
